FAQs: Gasoline FAQs | Diesel FAQs | Why Buy Snow

Gasoline FAQs:

1. What are the benefits of Water/Methanol injection?

Boost Cooler Benefits (Gasoline):

  • Low cost - where else can you get up to 60HP for as low as $304?
  • More Power - We don't create an intake restriction like an intercooler, and unlike race gas, we reduce intake air temps and improve charge air density too!
  • Efficiency - leaner air fuel ratio can be utilized for normal operation.
  • Easy Installation - Snow Performance systems can be installed in a matter of hours without having to remove bumpers or do custom intake piping.
  • Engine Health - Snow Performance systems effectively steam clean the valves, valve seats, and even the piston tops and intake when they inject. This reduces carbon build up.

2. Can the Boost Cooler be applied to naturally aspirated and nitrous engines?

  • Naturally aspirated/high compression engines:
Water/Methanol injection allows the use of pump fuel in all but the most extreme situations which effects tremendous cost savings as well as horsepower increases due to air density increase and higher timing advance potential.
  • Engines using nitrous:
With nitrous, water/methanol injection allows the use of more timing advance even with large (250HP+) quantities. The cooling effect of the water/methanol inside the combustion chamber also makes for reduced peak combustion temperatures.
  • Naturally aspirated/stock compression:
With naturally aspirated engines using less than 10:1 compression, water/methanol is used often in warm climates to get the intake temps lower. Benefits include: 10-15 HP increases from air density increases and full timing as well as more effective air/fuel ratios, increased gas mileage, and carbon free combustion chambers.

While power gains are typically less in stock compression naturally aspirated vehicles compared to high compression or forced induction engines, benefits can still be realized due to more timing advance, leaner air/fuel ratios, cleaner engine components, lower temperatures, and the use of the methanol in the injection fluid as a secondary fuel source.

3. Does the Snow Performance system work a carbureted application?

Yes.
  • We have systems for carbureted vehicles without superchargers or turbochargers. They inject according to vacuum and deliver 20-25 point octane gains over regular pump gas when using a 50/50 mix of water/methanol.
  • Any Snow Performance system can be used with or feature the special 4150 or 4500 style carb plates as well. MC and RT series systems include the carb plates.
  • Many muscle cars that previously required expensive high octane fuel now use regular pump gas with our system while getting better performance. These cars can use our MC (naturally aspirated) and RT (supercharged or turbocharged) series systems for a clean installation and great results.

4. What power gains can I expect?

Boost Coolers® allow for more power in two ways on a gasoline application.

  • Extra octane. This allows for much more aggressive tuning safely to make more power. Timing can often be advanced 10 or more degrees in the power band. Boost can often be increased 5 or more PSI. Air/fuel ratios of around 12.5:1 can be utilized even in high boost applications.
  • Better cooling of the intake air charge. We often cool intake air temperatures 50-150 degrees. This means denser air charge for more efficient power.

If these methods are used, a 20% increase in HP is possible. In naturally aspirated applications, gains of 5-10% are possible.

5. Can the Snow Performance system improve my fuel economy?

Yes.

The MPG-MAX™ systems are designed to do just that. Both the diesel and gasoline MPG-MAX™ systems are specifically designed to inject a very small and precise amount of water/methanol under normal driving conditions such as accelerating away from a stop light or driving up a slight grade.

  • The extra 20-25 points of octane provided allows for more spark timing advance and a leaner air/fuel ratio with the use of a programmer. Both of these factors not only improve power, their efficiency gains improve mileage as well. Additionally, many modern cars will detect the combustion of the methanol and reduce the injection of gasoline accordingly through the adjustment of long-term fuel trim values in the vehicles computer. This can directly and positively impact gasoline fuel economy. Gains of 5-15% are possible depending on how the vehicle is tuned and driven.

6. What fluid can I use in my system?

  • Boost Juice®: This is the best fluid to use and is Snow Performance’s 49% methanol, 51% water mixture that can be shipped to your door or picked up at a local dealer. (If you are using your washer reservoir as the injection tank, Boost Juice® is a great washer fluid – works as a de-icer!)
  • Windshield Washer fluid: Only if it is blue in color and rated for -20 deg F. It should have no special additives. This means it is safe to use and made of about 30% methanol, 70% water. If it is another color or another temperature rating, do not use it.
  • You can “spike” your Blue -20 Washer fluid to a 50% mixture by adding 3 12OZ yellow bottles of Heet® gas-line-antifreeze to every gallon of washer fluid.
  • Mix your own: You just need to make sure the methanol is “neat” and contains no lubricants or other additives. We recommend a 50% mixture.
  • Ethanol: It is not as good as methanol, but it can be used as a 2nd best option if you can’t find methanol. It can also be mixed with water up to 50%.
  • Do NOT use E85 or any other fluid with gasoline mixed in. It will destroy the fluid delivery part of your Boost Cooler® and instantly void the warranty.
  • Isopropyl/Denatured Alcohols: These can be used, but are not as good as methanol. They have a lower BTU, or energy content, and a lower latent heat of vaporization (fancy way of saying how much heat they absorb) as well as a lower octane rating compared to methanol.

7. Why Methanol?

Methanol is a very high octane fuel that is extremely resistant to detonation with an excellent cost/benefit ratio. Its high latent heat of vaporization also makes it an excellent air charge cooler which means a denser mixture and more horsepower. Because of these characteristics, it suppresses detonation more effectively than ethanol or iso-propanol although they will work in a pinch. It is toxic and should be handled with rubber gloves in well ventilated areas only. Care should be taken to avoid skin contact.

8. Where can I purchase Methanol?

  • Snow Performance sells 51/49 water/methanol mix as Boost Juice™ (see products). If this is used exclusively, Snow Performance can lifetime warranty a system so long as the free registration card is sent in soon after purchase.
  • Methanol can generally be purchased where racing fuels are sold. Also, most gas line dryers like "Heet" are simply methanol. Suppliers of industrial chemicals can also supply methanol for a very reasonable price. Ensure that the methanol is "neat" and therefore has no additives or lubricants added by the supplier.
  • -20 degree F rated, blue windshield washer fluid is acceptable for use as well, and is available at most service stations. Although some fluids rated to under -20 degrees F contain glycol and other copolymers, most windshield washer fluids are up to 40% methanol. Try to find one that displays "contains methanol" on the label and is good to -20 degrees F, with no additives or special ingredients and is blue in color.
  • Methanol can be purchased on the web at www.worldwideracingfuels.com and www.hiperfuels.com.
  • Additionally, many sprint car drivers and circle track and drag racers use methanol as a primary fuel. They often have methanol on hand and will even sell methanol that has been un-sealed for a long time at a very low price. Just be sure that the methanol has NO additives or lubricants (such as top lube), as they are not needed and can damage the pump.

9. What ratio of water/methanol is recommended?

  • A 50/50 ratio is recommended. This has been demonstrated to be the best for charge/air cooling, excellent detonation control, and safety.
  • Ratios of anywhere from 30% to 50% methanol work well and deliver excellent octane gains and cooling.

10. Can I use pure methanol?

While all components of Snow Performance systems are designed to be able to handle pure methanol, it is not recommended for a number of reasons.

  • Safety: Pure methanol is easy to ignite and burns with an almost invisible flame.
  • Performance: Water absorbs twice as much heat as methanol in the intake and inside the combustion chamber. Water cannot be flash-ignited, so has what is almost an infinite octane number. In the government studies for WWII piston-powered aircraft, 50/50 water-methanol was found to be the best fluid to use for auxiliary fluid injection.
  • Tuning and Engine reliability: Injecting 50/50 water-methanol will prevent over-injection. If too much is injected, it will quench the flame front and the engine will bog and lose power. If too much straight methanol is injected, this will not happen, as methanol is very forgiving of rich mixtures. This could instead lead to explosive backfires, cylinder wash, etc. which will not happen when 50% or more water is in the mixture.

11. Do I need an intercooler with Water/Methanol Injection?

Up to approximately 30 psig of boost, water/methanol injection (using 50% methanol) will provide all the density increase/detonation control needed in most applications. Of course, intercooling and water/methanol injection would provide even greater benefits, especially beyond 30 psig of boost. Most air-to-air intercoolers are only 50-65% efficient. For example, with 11 psi of boost and the resulting 120°f air charge temperature increase, an intercooler reduces the air charge temperature only 60 degrees. Also, an intercooler will reduce boost 2 - 4 psig. on average.

12. Why not use a windshield washer pump?

  • Water/Methanol must be injected at above 50psig to properly atomize. Lower than 50psig causes greatly reduced air charge cooling as the result of larger droplets and their reduced total surface area. Also with inadequate atomization, there is a greater propensity to quench combustion resulting in a loss of power.
  • Snow Performance systems also regularly inject into charge air passages at 40 psig or higher boost pressure, and a simple washer pump will not handle that kind of stress. The pumps in Snow Performance kits are specifically built for water/methanol injection in any environment that might arise.
13. How much range will a tank of Water/Methanol provide?

This depends on a number of variables. HP, injection system, settings, driving style, etc.

  • For most engines in the 200-500hp range, the standard 3qt tank will last around a tank of gasoline.
  • For higher HP levels with the MPG system, it will be more like 1 gallon per tank full of gasoline. The #40016 2.5 Gallon reservoir could last two or even three tanks of gasoline.

14. I dont have any room in the engine bay for a reservoir, what are my options?

  • Use the factory washer-fluid tank. A bulkhead fitting (PN# 40080) allows the use of the factory washer fluid tank as a reservoir. 50/50 water/methanol makes an excellent washer fluid. Kits for the 1.8T, 2.0T, WRX/STI, and others utilize this strategy.
  • Trunk mounted reservoir. The reservoir and pump can be mounted in the trunk. 2.5 gallon reservoir upgrades (PN# 40014) feature extra tubing and mounting brackets for trunk mounting. We always recommend a #40060 solenoid for trunk mounting.
15. Where can I mount my reservoir and pump?

The pump needs to be within about 24” (hose length) of the reservoir, and as low or lower than the base of the reservoir. It is a “pusher” pump, not a “puller” pump.

  • Engine bay: In the engine bay, the reservoir and pump can be placed almost anywhere, as long as they are not very close to exhaust heat, or in the path of debris from the road. Be sure that the pump is mounted at the same level or below the reservoir and that the reservoir is not located higher than the nozzle. If the reservoir must be located higher than the nozzle, a solenoid upgrade (part number 40060) is required to prevent gravity feed.
  • Trunk mounting: This is fine, but again, the pump needs to be close to the reservoir and gravity fed. Lengths of 20-25 ft of tubing to the nozzle are fine. We always recommend a #40060 solenoid for rear-reservoir mounting, including use of the 2.5 gallon reservoir (part number 40014).

16. Is it better to inject the water/methanol solution before or after the Turbo? Where is the best place for a few specific vehicles?

There has been more discussion recently (especially on the internet) advocating pre-turbo injection. Most of the debate centers around increased atomization. You can probably get away with this in the short run if you inject a small quantity of finely atomized fluid (less than 10micron droplet) with a very low injection duty cycle. Also if you don't care about turbo longevity (like some race applications where the turbo is replaced frequently) or you have a system that doesn't atomize correctly and need the turbulence to help (low injection pressure and nozzles that aren't designed to atomize correctly). In diesels, especially where injection quantities are large in relation to fuel and where there is benefit to injecting at low/mid engine load states on up, it becomes a question of when compressor wheel damage becomes too severe as pre-turbo injection has been proven to cause compressor wheel erosion. The amount of erosion depends on the quantity injected, the size of the droplet injected, the speed of the compressor wheel, and the injection duty cycle (what % of total engine operation is water-methanol injected). Also, the argument of reduction in compressor work per unit flow and the increase in mass flow rate doesn't hold water in a properly sized modern non-wastegated turbo.

17. Where can I mount the nozzle?

Pre- or Post- throttle body/carburetor?

  • Performance: It makes almost no difference. Before or after the throttle plate(s) won’t change the effectiveness of the fluid. A given amount of fluid will absorb a given amount of heat, whether it is done more before or after the throttle plate really doesn’t matter.
  • Installation: It is usually easier to inject pre-throttle body in the intake tube. Easy access, no solenoid required (unless rear-mounting a reservoir). On a carburetor, it can actually be easier to use the #40050 carb spacer plate and a #40060 solenoid for a bolt-in installation. These components are included in our RT and MC series systems.
  • In a blow-through carburetor setup with an air-box enclosure around the entire carburetor, injecting after the carburetor is preferable.
  • Pre- or Post- Supercharger/Turbocharger?
  • Centrifugal/Turbo: (Procharger, Vortech, Paxton, Powerdyne, Rotrex, etc.) Never mount an injector nozzle before a centrifugal supercharger or turbocharger compressor. Sending fluid through the compressor wheel that spins anywhere from 50,000rpm to 250,000rpm can erode the leading edges of the fine aluminum, as well as serve to reduce the atomization. Instead of a fine mist, the compressor housing will create a river of fluid along the outside wall that means we get less benefit and use more fluid.
  • Positive Displacement Supercharger: Roots style (B&M, Eaton, Magnuson, etc.) or twin screw (Lysholm, Kenne Bell, Whipple, etc.) Mounting the nozzle before this style of blower is perfectly safe and actually provides some additional benefits. The small amount of water-methanol fluid isn’t harmful to any rotor seals or surfaces or coatings, and it helps to seal the clearances and condense the air some more, resulting in a more efficient output. Additionally, it keeps the rotors and housing MUCH cooler, which reduces heat transfer to the rest of the intake and air charge.

Diesel FAQs :

1. What are the benefits of Water/Methanol injection?

  • Greatly reduced EGTs - Decreases of 250 degrees F are common using a 50/50 water/methanol mix. Increased EGTs are an engine killer in today's performance diesel world.
  • Low cost power - Where else can you get 50-100 HP for as low as $549? What other modification does all these things with one system?
  • Greatly increased air charge densities - 3-5 psi boost increases are common with liquid intercooling.
  • Decreased emissions - increased combustion efficiency means less particulate matter and NOX emissions.
  • Fuel economy increase - increase your fuel economy up to 10%-15% (1-3 mpg).
  • Great for towing - more power/cooler EGT's to haul the heaviest loads.

2. Why is Water/Methanol injection so effective on Diesels?

Unlike gasoline engines, the power in a turbo diesel is largely a function of fuel. The problem with continually adding fuel is that you create an over-fueling condition and reach a point where the exhaust gas temperatures become prohibitive (over 1300 degrees F). A 50/50 water/methanol mix will decrease EGT's approximately 200-300 degrees F while increasing power 50-100HP.

Power is increased through:

  • Air charge cooling - Water/methanol usually lowers air charge temps over 200 degrees F. Low air temps makes denser air charge which provides more molecules of oxygen for combustion.
  • Combustion conditioning - the methanol acts as a combustion catalyst as well as a cooling agent. Water vaporization inside the combustion chamber increases torque and power output through "the steam engine" effect.

Where else can you get this kind of power with cooler EGT's, reduced emissions, and more fuel economy?

3. Is this technology new with Turbo Diesel?

Water/methanol injection has been used extensively for years in high performance truck/tractor pullers. With the elevated boost levels required for peak power, water/methanol is a common means of cooling the intake charge and reducing exhaust gas temps. Also, truckers have used water injection for years to increase fuel mileage.

4. What power gains can I expect?

In diesel applications, no additional tuning is needed to maximize the benefits.

  • A cooler, denser air charge is now delivered to the combustion chamber – this allows more diesel fuel to be burned than before.
  • The methanol in the injection fluid burns as a fuel. This directly impacts power production.
  • The water vaporizes in the combustion chamber, creating rapidly expanding steam which pushes down on the piston to create additional torque.
The extra power produced depends heavily on the concentration of methanol used and the volume injected. Typical power gains in 5.9L and larger applications with a 50% mixture of water/methanol are 50-100 WHP and a 100-150ft lb-ft increase in torque.

  • Diesel MPG-MAX systems benefit from the methanol directly due to the fact that it combusts as a fuel, allowing for brake specific fuel consumption (BSFC) to be reduced. Typical gains are 10-15% better fuel economy or 1-3 MPG. In some cases and in independent testing, gains of up to 30% have been observed in diesels.

This means it is safe to use and made of about 30% methanol, 70% water. If it is another color or another temperature rating, do not use it. It should NOT have any extra additives or features.

Methanol is an extremely clean fuel with an excellent cost/benefit ratio. Its high latent heat of vaporization also makes it an excellent air charge cooler which means a denser mixture and more horsepower. Because of these characteristics, it is a better fuel than ethanol or isopropanol although they will work in a pinch. It is extremely toxic and should be handled with rubber gloves in well ventilated areas only. Care should be taken to avoid skin contact.

8. Is Methanol Safe for my Diesel?

Methanol makes an excellent adjunct fuel. Because it has a cetane number of 4CN, it makes safe power without spiking cylinder pressures.

50/50 water/methanol is also very resistant to detonation. It is in fact used as a detonation suppresant in our gasoline systems. This allows for injection without worries about pre-ignition even in very high boost applications such as sled pulling and drag racing.

"combustion of neat methanol alone results in a cetane number of 4CN with reduced PM (smoke) and NOx. " see SAE Technical Paper #940326 "Combustion and Emissions Characteristics of Minimally Processed Methanol in a Diesel Engine"

9. Where can I purchase methanol?

  • Snow Performance sells a 51/49 water/methanol mix as Boost Juice™ (see products).
  • -20 degree F rated, blue windsheild washer fluid is acceptable for use as well, and is availble at most service stations. Although some fluids rated to under -20 degrees F contain glycol and other copolymers, most windshield washer fluids are up to 40% methanol. Try to find one that displays "contains methanol" on the label and is good to -20 degrees F, with no additives or special ingredients and is blue in color.
  • Methanol can be purchased on the web at www.worldwideracingfuels.com and www.hyperfuels.com

10. Can I use pure methanol?

While all components of Snow Performance systems are designed to be able to handle pure methanol, it is not recommended for a number of reasons.

  • Safety: Straight methanol is easy to ignite and burns with an almost invisible flame.
  • Performance: Water absorbs twice as much heat as methanol in the intake and inside the combustion chamber. Water cannot be flash-ignited, so has almost an infinite octane number.

11. How much range will a tank of Water/Methanol provide?

Diesels use more fluid than a gasoline application, and are in heavier load states more often.

  • On a Stage 1 or 2 system, the factory washer fluid tank on a pickup truck (usually 1-1.5 gallons) will last a tank of fuel. This is for normal mixed driving with no towing and some aggressive acceleration.
  • On a Stage 3 MPG MAX™ used for towing, the 7 gallon reservoir (included with the MPG MAX™) usually lasts 1-2 tanks of diesel fuel. In an un-loaded state, the 7 gallon reservoir will provide about 1000 miles of range. When towing, the 7 gallon usually lasts about 500 miles.
  • A standard Stage 3 system will use about 1 gallon of liquid for every 75 miles of towing. Many Stage 3 users take advantage of their stock washer tank or the special universal fitting included in Stage 3 Snow Performance diesel kits with a custom large capacity tank. Be sure to use a solenoid upgrade for any reservoir mounted in the rear of the vehicle.

Just be sure that the pump is at the same level or below the reservoir, and that the reservoir is not located higher than the nozzle. If the reservoir has to be higher than the nozzle, a solenoid upgrade (part number 40060) is needed to prevent gravity-feed.
  • Trunk/Bed mounting: This is fine, but again, the pump needs to be close to the reservoir and gravity fed. Lengths of 20-25 ft of tubing to the nozzle are fine. We always recommend a #40060 solenoid for rear-reservoir mounting. A solenoid is included with the #40016 7 gallon reservoir.

Stage one and two kits often utilize this strategy.
  • Bed mounted reservoir. The reservoir and pump can be mounted in the back of the vehicle. 7 gallon reservoir upgrades (PN# 40016) feature extra tubing, a solenoid upgrade, and mounting brackets for bed mounting. We always recommend a #40060 solenoid for rear mounting with any reservoir/vehicle.

14. Where can I mount the nozzle?

  • The best placement of the nozzles is in the area around the inlet to the intake manifold or virtually anywhere on the pipe leading from the intercooler to the intake manifold. The nozzles can be placed at any position on the tube, so long as they are pointing at a 90 degree angle to the direction of airflow. The nozzles can be placed in a series or right next to each other. There is enough heat and velocity and flow through the pipe under boost to absorb the water/methanol regardless of the nozzle positions relative to each other.
  • Some intakes are pre-drilled for Snow Performance nozzles. As long as all of the airflow into the engine will pass by all nozzles used in the system, even distribution and cooling will result.
  • Placement before the intercooler or turbo(s) is not recommended. Cooling is not improved and accumulation of fluid can result in some cases.

15. Is it better to inject the water/methanol solution before or after the Turbo? Where is the best place for a few specific trucks? (Duramax, 7.3L Power Stroke, 5.9L common rail).

There has been more discussion recently (especially on the internet) advocating pre-turbo injection. Most of the debate centers around increased atomization. You can probably get away with this in the short run if you inject a small quantity of finely atomized fluid (less than 10micron droplet) with a very low injection duty cycle. Also if you don't care about turbo longevity (like some competition diesels where the turbo is replaced frequently) or you have a system that doesn't atomize correctly and need the turbulence to help (low injection pressure and nozzles that aren't designed to atomize correctly).

19. How does the system affect my warranty?

The Federal Moss-Magnussen act requires that a dealer prove that a modification caused a failure before denying warranty service. Becuase Boost Coolers reduce peak temperatures and reduce carbon deposits, we are actually reducing stress on the engine in many ways.

Why buy Snow

1. Engineering – Each system has been designed and tested by engineers to ensure reliability and robustness. The Boost Cooler™ will do what it should do for a long time. No failure prone brass, or rubber, is used as the others and our component flow rates are calculated and spec’ed to work with each other.

2. Digital Variable Controllers For Different Applications
– Not just boost actuated, we have specially designed controllers for each vehicle/application to ensure maximum power. Unlike the others, most of our controllers feature true 2D maps facilitating the most correct injection and power under all conditions for the most advanced systems available.

Competitor "C" claims to have controllers that inject on a 2 dimensional map. Unfortunately, that is very misleading because it only injects according to one signal with a threshold, or on/off point, according to another signal. Using that threshold point is only possible if, and only if, you download their software onto your computer, connect your computer to the controller, and make adjustments to the on/off point that way. If you want to change that set point, you have to connect to the computer again, etc. Hardly easy to use or adjust, and only one dimensional in the delivery.

A diesel competitor has introduced a water injection kit that falls terribly short of the quality and function that any customer should expect. All of Snow Performance's diesel system designed for the street include a digital controller that progressively varies the amount of water/methanol injected according to either boost or boost and EGT's.

Competitor "Purple" uses a stepped injection to start with one nozzle, add a second, and then add a third. What this means to the customer is that it is not an accurate injection at all - do your diesel injectors inject full blast or do they vary the amount of fuel they are injecting for changing conditions? Snow Performance varies the amount of fluid being injected to match what the engine needs. Competitor "Purple's" staged injection means it won't provide a smooth power increase and won't be the correct amount injected over even a narrow range of RPMs and load so it will be impossible to get maximum cooling and power increase.

To adjust any of Snow Performance's systems, all it requires is a simple dial or push button adjustment. The kit from Competitor "Purple" requires that wires be cut or connected - not easy to do (or undo) and not a progressive adjustment like a dial.

So, what is 2 dimensional injection management?

Snow Performance's 2D mapped progressive controllers are a TRUE two dimensional system meaning if either input signal goes up or down, we vary the injection quantity by increasing or decreasing the injection rate. Our Stage 2D Boost Cooler for Mitsubishi vehicles (#20009) injects variably according to boost and variably according to the MAF sensor signal. So, for a given amount of boost, say 10 psi, if there is a small amount of airflow, we will inject less than if there is a great amount of airflow. Likewise, for a given amount of airflow, if the boost is higher we will inject more than if the boost is low. Varying the injection according to BOTH input signals is what makes a map 2 dimensional and more correct than the delivery of the Competitor "C" kit.

Snow Performance's Stage 3 Diesel Boost Cooler kits are also truly 2 dimensional, injecting variably according to both boost pressure and EGTs. That allows for the most accurate injection while towing or even just cruising around, resulting in smoother power than the Competitor "C" 1 dimensional and threshold type of delivery or the Competitor "Purple" staged injection system. Snow's controller has a master adjustment to change the delivery aggressiveness - no need to hook up to a computer or download anything - it can be done on the fly very quickly and easily. It can also be switched from 2 dimensional boost and EGT mapping to just boost mapping for a more responsive injection when racing or sled pulling - with just a flip of a switch! No computer hookups and no wire cutting. Easier to use, less expensive, and better performing.

3. High Pressure/ High volume Pumps – Our pumps are specially designed exclusively for Snow Performance to deliver higher pressures and reliability. Features include: higher pressure (150-180+ psi), self priming, integrated check valve, and thermal protection for safety. Each pump is pre-tested and designed to work with methanol unlike some of the others that use off the shelf agricultural pumps.

4. Unsurpassed Atomization – Along with higher pressures, our nozzles are specially designed to spin the fluid supersonically before forcing through a venture-shaped orifice for the best atomization available. Better atomization means more power and cooling.

5. Trained technical and tuning advice – trained, knowledgeable technicians are always available to help you. We have more data and hands-on experience with diesel and gasoline applications than anyone so you don’t have to guess.

6. Warranty – Life time warranty available. Snow backs it’s systems with industry leading warrantees. Compare this to the others 1-year limited warranty.

7. Safety – Our new SafeInjection™ (patent pending) is the ultimate in safety for even the most aggressively tuned applications. This ensures worry-free power in even the most demanding racing applications as well as full power on the street.

8. Proven Performance – All our systems are backed with dyno data proven by numerous magazine articles and more World Records than anyone. Buy the same kit the pros and championship race teams use – buy the Boost Cooler™.

9. Complete kit – When you buy a Boost Cooler™, you get a complete kit right down to the reservoir and tap. Also, we have more kits for specific applications than anyone. Eliminate the guess work - get a kit for your vehicle complete with installation instructions that include vehicle specific photos and performance backed-up with dyno charts.
